Description: Construct a new SASD sewer lift station, replacing an antiquated 1955 lift station.
Challenges: This complex project included a 48’ deep excavation to construct the wet well in a very small foot print area while preserving a 35’ deep tie in manhole. Difficulties in excavation included a high pressure gas main paralleling the South side of the excavation, existing sewer and lift station on the East side, a 24’ deep sewer main with wetlands on the North side, and a 10’ deep existing water main on the West side.
