Sacramento Suburban Water District – Water Main Replacement

Location: Fulton Ave. Sacramento, CA

Year: 2014

Description: Water main replacement and upgrade of approximately 5,700 LF of 12” and 16” water main pipe.

Challenges: This project included 4 months of night work to remove and replace asphalt roadway up to 18” thick in a heavily traveled 4 lane commercial road while maintaining vehicle accessibility. The project also required the team to thread 12” & 16” water main through or around an existing 60-year old infrastructure (sewer, water, storm drain, gas, fiber optics) all while making ingress and egress accessible for local businesses.
